Peter’s Place RVA is a LGBTQIA+ recovery housing and community organization in Richmond, Virginia. It is run by and for LGBTQIA+ people of color and queer & trans people. Their mission is to provide compassionate and accessible housing, resources, and trauma-informed care to LGBTQIA+ individuals seeking individualized recovery support. Many people who seek supportive recovery housing lack access to the funds they need to start their recovery journey, often due to being marginalized by a dominantly white, cisgender society that devalues people who use drugs. Their goal is to start a podcast-based Patreon subscription to fund housing scholarships for LGBTQIA+ folks seeking recovery housing at Peter’s Place RVA.
