Protagonist Writers is a group of volunteers who believe in lower league soccer. So much so that they created Protagonist Soccer, a website that exclusively covers lower league soccer (NPSL, UPSL, and regional leagues). They’re a group of volunteers who donate their time and energy to this cause — that amateur soccer deserves professional coverage. But all this time and energy is unpaid. They’re simply asking for a commitment from their readers, to support them with small monthly donations, split evenly between the writers.
