Pussy Riot is a Russian feminist protest punk rock and performance art group formed by Nadya Tolokonnikova & Masha Alekhina. Since 2011, Pussy Riot has been getting in good trouble, including spending serious time in jail in Russia. Their credo: Anybody can be in Pussy Riot — there’s no limit. Both Nadya and Masha were convicted of “hooliganism” motivated by “religious hatred” early in Pussy Riot’s life and spent two years in jail.
