Responsible Hedonist is Diana and Frank, two nerds who somehow found their way to the wine industry. Together, they have over 15 years of experience and a bunch of certifications. They both worked as sommeliers in Chicago at James Beard award winning and Michelin starred restaurants. In 2017, they moved to Aotearoa New Zealand, so Diana could pursue her Masters in Wine Science. They never left. Over time, they began to realize that something was seriously wrong in the wine industry. Wine was super interesting, but most people talking about it were boring and, shall we say, a bit snobby about it all.And that just aint them. So, they created Responsible Hedonist to make some tasty wine, answer their wine questions (yes even that one,) and of course, have some fun along the way. This means incorporating sustainable practices into all areas of wine production, doing what they can to lessen their environmental impact, and being fully transparent so they can be accountable to their community.
