Sailing The Far Side is just two sisters trying to continue a legacy. Thirty-four years ago their father commissioned a 50′ Young Son pilot house, cutter, built by Tradewinds in Taiwan, to fulfill a dream. He began to sail the South Pacific where he met their mom. His travels amounted to over a hundred-thousand sea miles. Having grown up around sailing the hundreds of stories that their parents share from their travels, the sisters dreamed for more as well. Their sailing passion began with sail camp in Michigan on Lake Erie, and family trips on The Far Side to the Keys and Cuba occasionally. As they grew older school became a bigger priority, but their love for sailing and the ocean grew with them. Having both graduated with Bachelors degrees as varsity athletes and scholar students, they are still unfulfilled. Yes they are young but they are ready for the challenge.They are heading back out on their second adventure, starting with the Bahamas and then continue South and see where they end up. To allow their friends and family to follow their adventure, they have a YouTube channel, Sailing The Far Side, and they have a blog as well. Sailing is not a cheap lifestyle, even though they have saved money for this trip, there will always be something that needs to be fixed or replaced. In order to create the best content they can for their future followers, they need your help.
