Sara Amis is an Anderson Faery Tradition initiate and long-term practitioner of Southern folk magic and Pagan witchcraft. They have been involved in their local Pagan community for decades and have helped organize several covens and ritual groups, events like the Goddess 2000 Project and Pagan Pride Day, conferences, and were the founding CEO of Athens Area Pagans, a nonprofit that is still thriving over a decade later. Sara has an MFA in creative writing with a graduate certificate in Women’s Studies, and has presented academic papers on traditional and modern witchcraft in Atlanta and on the relationship between feminism and the modern Pagan religious movement. Sara has also been a professional Tarot reader off and on for nearly thirty years and has taught many many classes and workshops on witchy topics, at conferences, gatherings, in bookstores, and at retreats. This Patreon blog is to some extent a continuation of their Patheos blog A Word to the Witch, and as such is mainly focused on Pagan and witchy topics such as Southern folk magic, spoken charms, traditional witchcraft, sorcery of the ancient Mediterranean, and…what not.
