Script Sleuth is Daniel Lee. Their YouTube channel is dedicated to analyzing the screenwriting in the greatest films and screenplays of all time. They’ll study the master screenwriters by breaking down the best in world cinema. Daniel got introduced to screenwriting in film school, and immediately fell in love with the challenge of creating a good story. In an effort to improve at the craft, they decided to really start studying the screenwriting in the greatest films ever, by breaking down every detail in every scene. As they went through this process, they noticed that their own writing improved immensely. After constantly seeing what the professionals are doing, it became easier to see that there is a baseline of excellence that your screenplay must always achieve. Things like setups and payoffs, complex characters with strong goals, and burying exposition in conflict. So they got excited and wanted to share this amazing information with fellow screenwriters, filmmakers, and movie lovers. And so Script Sleuth was born.
