Secession Art & Design was founded in 2007 by Eden Stein, whose dream was to create a retail space in San Francisco to showcase local and independent art & design. Eleven years later, our award-winning and community-driven gallery and boutique have grown to represent over 70 makers. Our physical storefront encourages people to stop by to experience all we have to offer in person. We are your personal shopper, stylist, art consultant and neighbor. We strive to always be a place that you know will welcome you with love, We’re excited to share with you everything from our curated collection. Secession has one owner (Eden) and a small team (Tammy, Heather and Rob) to make the magic of running a small business in San Francisco happen. To celebrate our 11th anniversary, we’ve created a Patreon account so that we can potentially hire more staff, host more creative events, and make sure that we have the capital to keep pursuing our dreams.
