The oldest and strangest emotion of mankind is fear, and the strongest kind of fear is fear of the unknown… They were planted in 2014, when two arts majors turned coffeehouse workers were tasked to create a movie trailer for a fledgling theatre. With what little resources they had, the pair crafted the psychedelic folk-horror “Saturnine” and never looked back. They were fueled by a desire to deliver an alternative to the slash and splatter flicks dominating cineplexes, founders Vincent Santis and Mara E. Nadolski challenge audiences to explore infernal dreamscapes and nightmarish realms, where the line between reality and fever dream aren’t always defined.
