Sophie Yanow is best known for their nonfiction/journalism comics in places like The Nib and The Guardian, and their autobiographical work like War of Streets and Houses and What is a Glacier? They have taught comics at The Animation Workshop in Denmark, the New Hampshire Institute of Art, and until very recently they were a professor at the Center for Cartoon Studies. This is their longest project to date. It’s a fictionalized version of events that took place when they studied abroad in Paris about 10 years ago, a coming-of-age of sorts (the story is already thumbnailed). They are planning to serialize it in physical issues, post it as a free webcomic, and publish it as a book. For now though, they have realized that they could really use some cheerleaders and a place to semi-privately share the work as they complete it.
