Spare Change is a musician impact network a community of musicians that fund raise for their favorite non-profit by collecting donations of change at their shows. Musicians share their connection to a cause, and Spare Change provides them with a custom Spare Change bucket to pass at shows, as well as a fundraising page for fans to online. They support the musicians in the network by creating content to promote their partnerships, and by tracking their impact on the cause over time. Spare Change was inspired by the busking movement and began by taking the change donated at street performances and giving it away to people in need. They filmed their adventures and began giving money to nonprofits to increase their impact. They then supported other musicians philanthropic efforts by creating one-off video campaigns centered around the passing of a bucket at their shows.
