Teagan Gavet is making comics. In the decade they’ve spent working on illustrations and freelance artwork, nothing has been as satisfying as creating graphic novels. It’s a medium they love and want wholeheartedly to continue to pursue. Their current project is Orens Forge, which launched in 2017. While free to read on various platforms (and it will remain so), having more financial stability while they dedicate the time to creating Orens Forge will enable them do just that – continue to create. Orens Forge is a fantasy-action-adventure story about a pine marten named Rask as he struggles to find his place in a changing world. For the first time in their history, prey animals of the world are banding together to protect one another from predators. Rask, caught in the middle, is both a predator to some and prey to others. Rumors fly about a place free from the tooth and claw of predators, where animals can live free from the fear of death. So Rask begins his perilous journey, struggling against wolves, the elements and his own doubt, but soon finds that the destination may be the most dangerous thing he’s yet to face.
