The Blackheart Orchestra is Chrissy Mostyn and Rick Pilkington. They are a multi-instrumental, ethereal progressive duo based in Manchester UK. The orchestra concept comes from them playing over 13 instruments between them from guitar, bass and percussion to piano, organ, omnichord and their collection of ancient synthesisers that most musicians threw away at the end of the 90s. They have been described as a mesmerising powerhouse, an avant-garde musical utopia, and one of the most extraordinary voices singing anywhere today. They have many adventures planned for the next 12 months, an instrumental album, and a live DVD as well as film projects including art videos for many of their new songs.
