The Grinning Frog

The Grinning Frog

The Grinning Frog is actually a collection of RPG material from The Grinning Frog (they write a lot of other RPG supplements and adventures). They pore a lot of time, effort and love into ensures the 52+ pages are filled with great system-neutral fantasy content such as detailed articles, maps, diagrams, tables and illustrations. Each month they bring you a boat load of system-neutral fantasy RPG material (fully compatible with all fantasy RPG systems including 5e) Typical content includes: DM Advice, festivals, locations, creatures, magic items, non-player characters, non-player character organizations, story hooks, things to see, random encounters, trinkets and treasures, picture prompts, NPC cards… The content format includes random tables, maps, illustrations, diagrams and a convenient card format for NPCs. All designed to make the material easy to read and usable. The exact content varies from issue to issue. Articles range from one to six pages in length whilst the magazine is a minimum of 52 pages in length. Our inspiration goes back to the early years of white dwarf, dragon and dungeon magazines as well as other less well-known titles like Ares and Level-Up. They aim to honour their tradition and deliver empowering, practical, and imaginative content into your hands every month. They really try hard to make things look good by using the best fantasy art they can find. Everything evolves. They have a soft spot in their heart for this cover as it was the first with the new name – Also that dragon image by Grim Press is amazing! They have a lot of free-to-download RPG content available on their website, as well as over thirty of their publications on DMsGuild and DrivethruRPG. They also have over fifteen successful RPG Kickstarters since April 2020. The principal person behind the wheel is Stephen Hart. They’ve almost 40 years of RPG gaming experience behind them. Professionally, they have a design and print background, as well as fifteen years experience as a corporate trainer, development specialist and author. They now write RPG supplements for a living so you can be assured that you will continue to get a great magazine that will just keep getting better. They are ably assisted by a number of player testers, content developers and technical advisers. This is a great project which offers a great service, and if you are a fan of role-playing games, this will be a very worthwhile investment.
