The Royal French Privateers of Clan Darksail are more than just ‘Pirates for Hire’ though… they are dedicated to presenting an accurate portrayal of 17th Century French Corsairs, rather than your standard “Yo ho ho” Hollywood pirates. They have a huge section of props, from period tents (taverns, barracks, an armory, surgeon’s quarters, etc) to real-firing black powder pistols, long guns and cannons; to barrels, crates, gibbet-cages and more to create authentic, historical portrayals of life as a Privateer. They create videos on ship combat, sailing, proper use of unique black powder weaponry, and even an occasional comedy skit from time to time. They do presentations for schools, museums and private parties, and they want to share as much as they can with a wider audience, which they can do with your help! .
