Tim Carman is offering insights and lessons for musicians, drummers, and drum educators of all backgrounds for those looking to work professionally or have fun as a hobbyist. Based in Boston, MA, Tim is an international touring musician, session drummer, published author, and educator. They currently perform and tour with GA-20, an electric blues trio signed with Karma Chief/Colemine records, and Matthew Stubbs and The Antiguas. Tim also leads his own project called Tim Carman & The Street 45s, a world-groove inspired funk band signed to Mint 400 records. In 2019, Tim Carman & The Street 45s were nominated for Jazz Act of the Year by the Boston Music Awards and GA-20 won Blues Act of the Year. Along with performing, Tim is a dedicated educator with over ten years of teaching experience. In 2017 Tim released his first drum set method book titled “Shape Beats for Kids.” Published by Alfred Music, the book utilizes shapes to teach young students basic beats that they can use to play along with popular songs.
