The West is waking up to a system they didn’t realise they could change, as they watch governments that proclaim to have “fully functioning” democracies silence any attempts by the people to speak out against injustices. Over the past few years, far-right politics have seeped into the mainstream, and as they’ve sought to gain a deeper understanding of the political and cultural history that has led us to where we are today, they’ve realised how much there is left not only to learn, but to fix.
