Uli's gaming wonders

Ulis gaming wonders is a creative thinker with a strong affinity to math and science. They think of everything in numbers which, when they begin quantifying things and finding patterns in the numbers, they can become talented at it. This applies with artwork, music, emotions, writing, and, where it shines brightest, game design. Game design is about being creative with numbers to create various effects. Ulis writes programs to generate things as they think about stuff from a numerical perspective like combining 3D distance calculation to make a probability map which is then used to spawn circles of random sizes (within limits) to generate realistic-looking grass and snow and random shapes for forests, lakes, and other natural features. Ulis has even gone as far as adding a realistic Earth curvature and sky darkening effect that dynamically changes with changing altitude. In the works, Ulis has multiple projects, some completed. They have 3 main games in the works, with varying degrees of complexity and completion. They also have a 3D modeling program in the works. They have 2 books as well though both are completed and read like you were playing a role playing game. In-depth project details, Ulis started “Sealed Gate: A Lost Civilization” or “SG” for short in about 2006, but it was mostly in the design document stage as the complexity is very high as far as the game mechanics go. Ulis had a long-lingering balance problem that was only recently resolved. Once fixed, Ulis made mockup screenshots for it as 2D, but progress halted due to burn out and needing to make a 3D modeling program. Ulis game has an archeology theme to it where a group of former messengers explore ancient ruins around the world of Demar and uncover the secrets of a lost civilization and a big surprise awaits. Both of Ulis books are based on the mechanics from Sealed Gate at the time they were written. “Platform Masters (PM for short)” started in April of 2009 and was seeing rapid progress until life events got in the way. PM’s parallax scrolling is so good and accurate that it’s easy to mistake for a 3D game. One of the major things holding it back has been the character design. Ulis need for a modeling program has the solution to that – Ulis can model the character and enemies and take screenshots of the rendered results to produce the output, making that aspect far easier while also keeping to the same high quality design as the backgrounds use. Ulis plan on making a 3D version of Baricanna is to get game play going on it.
