Venus Selenite is a Black trans woman. They are a poet, writer, interdisciplinary artist, sex worker, and avant-garde musician stationed on the Internet. Their art addresses themes of race, sexuality, gender, heritage, and mental health. The author of trigger, The Fire Been Here, and the co-editor of Nameless Woman: An Anthology of Fiction by Trans Women of Color, they are a 2-time Pink Door Fellow and a nominee for 2016 Bettering American Poetry.
