Whitney Sews

Whitney Sews is Whitney, a person who has been creating sewing tutorials since 2009, so you’re probably already familiar with their blog, YouTube videos, Facebook, and Instagram. They love teaching people how to sew and create their own projects ranging from quilts to clothing. Every time they get a viewer comment on their channel saying they learned to sew through their videos or their tutorials gave them the confidence to try new things, it makes their heart happy. It takes a ton of time and resources to design each sewing project, film the tutorial, edit, and post to YouTube. They film and edit while their kids are napping, after they go to bed, and in the morning before they wake up. Each step by step tutorial takes anywhere from 10-30 hours to create from start to finish. Plus time to create any accompanying PDFs, blog posts, etc. Then on top of time there is the actual costs of equipment and supplies. Cameras, lighting, software, website hosting, fabric, etc that seem to always need to be upgraded and purchased. They do earn a small amount from the YouTube adsense program. In the past, it has been enough to cover their equipment and supplies, but nothing left to compensate for their time. This has left them wondering if all the hard work and time is worth it. Then they get another encouraging comment and know that yes, it IS worth it. The goal for creating a Patreon for Whitney Sews is that it would provide an opportunity for those wanting to support them on a financial level to do so and earn some fun rewards. They would love for you to check out the public posts, as well as the tier options. Feel free to offer any feedback or suggestions you may have.
