Writing Excuses is a weekly podcast for writers and aspiring writers. Over the years they’ve won a bunch of awards, they’ve showcased a phenomenal who’s who of fantasy, science fiction, and horror authors, and they’ve had the privilege of being there when exciting new authors start promising new careers. They’re very proud of what they’ve accomplished, but they are always trying to do better. The show was sponsored by advertisers for almost ten years, which was great, but limiting. Moving to Patreon has allowed them to promote a wider range of book-of-the-weeks and authors, and continues to help them improve their equipment and the quality of the podcast overall. They want to be very clear that the podcast will remain free. It always has been, and it always will be.
