Another Gaze provides a forum for critical discussion about feminism and film across modes of production and geographies. They’ve produced four print issues and programmed films and events, both in-person and online. They’ve launched a streaming platform featuring week-long programmes of rare films worthy of feminist analysis, together with new writing and translations about these works. They have never received funding or managed to pay their two principal editors so they’re turning to their supporters to give what they can so they can keep printing issues, raise their writing fees and commission more translations of vital criticism written outside of the anglophone sphere. They would also love to be able to print in the US, where many of their readers are, so that readers in the Americas don’t have to pay such high postage fees.
