Wagatwe Wanjuki is an award-winning antirape activist & theorist on Title IX, abuse and trauma. Since launching a campaign for a better sexual assault policy at Tufts University in 2009, she’s continued to work for a world free of gender-based violence. Wanjuki strives to bring sexual assault prevention to the 21st century through online public education, using an intersectional, survivor-focused, and trauma-informed lens. She’s published in DAME, Teen Vogue, NYT, ESSENCE, Bitch. She creates content regularly on Tik Tok, Instagram, and Twitter. She’s a nationally-recognized speaker on gender, race, sexual violence, and digital strategy, having spoken at dozens of schools, conferences, and events. And she publishes a newsletter.
