Ayesha Khan, PhD, is a grassroots activist, writer, educator, Infectious Diseases Scientists and Clinical Microbiologist at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston, Texas. They are dedicated to bridging science and social justice. Ayesha’s activism focuses on Palestinian liberation, educational equity for marginalized American youth, racial health equity, civil rights of Muslims and other minorities in India, immigrant rights, combatting the school-to-prison pipeline and mass incarceration in America, and intersectional science advocacy. They are currently working as a frontline healthcare worker specializing in COVID-19 testing, pandemic preparedness and public policy.
