BITCHCONOCLAST is Sonya Lea & Dylan Bandy. They are creating & hosting a mother-daughter podcast about sex, feminism and power. In season one, they’ve interviewed Pacific-Northwest authors about their lives, their work, and the state of the patriarchy. And, they have a huge vision for where BITCHCONOCLAST can go and how they can contribute to the conversation of intersectional feminism. They have had friends reach out and tell them how impactful this work is for them. And they just want this work to reach as many folks as possible. They’re talking about: sex in midlife, the importance of loneliness, expectations in parenting, decolonizing mainstream media, and cliteracy. They’re lifting up feminist voices in all sorts of bodies, and they’re looking to build a world where feminism has a place in our homes, in our schools, in our public policy, and in our culture. You know they think a lot about the need for new archetypes and new myths. Jack Kerouac never went anywhere: he had, like, cash and he crossed the country. He wants a prize? You know Suzanne Morrison considers the colon the seat of power and considers THE BREAK, which is the last novel of hers that you can find in independent bookshops around the world, to be a sexual thriller with a feminist bent. These are all things that you can learn on BITCHCONOCLAST. They just want a little support.
