Black Girls Brunch UK is an event space for Black Women to have a seat at their own table. So often Black Women are one of in a room of professionals. The creator created Black Girls Brunch to remind Black Women that they are not alone, that there are likeminded women who deal with challenges and the same issues that they too face. By creating an event for Black Women to network and connect with others in different fields thus creating professional and personal relationships; they hope to aid in the empowerment and growth of Black Women as a collective. Their main events are comprised of guest speakers, a facilitated workshop, a discussion, and of course food and networking. They also provide gift bags to each of their attendants; these are predominately made up of Black Women Owned businesses. They will be expanding Black Girls Brunch, to host a couple of more intimate and casual events throughout the year to further support their attendees and broaden the accessibility of their events. They aim to create a space for Black women to come together and be their authentic selves and to network so they can grow professionally and psychologically.
