Carrie Day is a musician, songwriter and an experimenter in many creative areas. They studied classical piano through university, and they’re a self-taught guitarist. They also play a little ukulele – ha. (They mean, they play a little bit of ukulele.) About 25 years ago, they wrote their first song. They fell in love with the process. The art. The craft. How music and words tangle and entwine. After all these years, they’re still in love. They’re known “on the scene” as a performer and songwriter, though they also write poetry, draw, paint, and improvise music. They love the act of creating in all formats. When they do creative work, they feel inspired and at peace. Their hope is that the things they create help others to feel those same feelings.
