Cat and Girl is a webcomic that artist Dorothy Gambrell has produced consistently since 1999. That longevity, alone, deserves your respect. But its unique worldview, perfectly captured and expressed, is what will keep you clicking “Next.” As a Best WebComic of 2005, the “Webcomics Examiner” described Cat and Girl like this: “Cat and Girl are self-conscious hipsters whose social commentaries invariably double back upon themselves.” In 2019, Cat and Girl won a National Cartoonists Society Division Award in the “On-Line Comics – Short Form” category. Now she publishes a regular print comic so, as she says, “you have one less thing you have to wade through the damn internet for.”
