Ellen ES Ceely is Ellen. They have dreamed of being an author since they were a little girl. Even before they knew how to read and write, they would fold pieces of paper in half, staple them into a little booklet, and “write” stories with stick figure illustrations. Their hopes of becoming an artist faded around 15 when they discovered they’re simply not given that gift. But their dreams of becoming an author never did, and they continue to write short stories, poetry, and the beginnings of novels throughout their teens and 20’s. A few years ago, having been through a difficult season in their life, they were trying to figure out their purpose and rediscover their passion. They picked up a short story they’d written in their closet as a 12-year-old and created an entire outline over the next week. As an executive assistant by weekday, and author by weekend, they don’t dream of fame or buckets of money, but they do dream of someday being able to support themselves through writing. It would be a dream come true to be able to quit their job and support themselves and their family full-time through their writing. They can’t make the stories will always be happy and they definitely won’t be perfect, but they will contain all the heart and soul and imagination they can pour into them. They would love to share with you the adventures, characters, and worlds that live inside their head, and they would be honored if you decide to support them.
