Erica Anderson

Erica Anderson is on a quest to make fine art that moves. She started making GIFs in 2012 as a way to share her scratch-on-film experiments with her friends, but soon began to create them exclusively digitally as a personal challenge. Since 2016, she’s posted a completely new looping animation every day. Her GIFs are meant to be viewed as moving paintings, and are usually made to be visual representations of whatever music she’s listening to at the time. She’s created works for clients such as Jai Wolf, Manila Killa, MYRNE, Tesseract, Hotel Garuda, Covex, Lionsgate, EIZO, Liquid+Arcade, Optimist Studios, Sturdy, and MIT
