Fifi Martinez is a cartoonist from San Diego, California who started drawing comics last year as a way to get through some hard times and haven’t really stopped since. Because they got into the habit of creating work based directly off of their life, most of the content on their website will be autobiographical comics that range from their daily life (diary comics) to detailed recounts of specific situations. Their work explores what it’s like to rebuild your entire life after major devastation, all while managing work, school, relationships, a blooming art career, and a mental illness. As a cartoonist who is just starting out, their time and resources for creating work are limited.
