Jens Bemme is making public goods. The topic of their work is making historical bicycle knowledge from before 1933 visible and accessible again from libraries, archives and other collections. The other side of the coin is helping foundations, student initiatives, clubs, libraries and projects achieve their goals with ideas, contacts, text, and fundraising. Starting from the cycling clubs of Upper Lusatia, they seek new old sources in Europe for Citizen Science projects – maybe even in Slovenia. Bemme calls this all “European Homeland Research”.
