Jesú Estrada, Ph.D. is a Chicana and first-generation American. Jesú owns a small independent, charity press, Barrio Blues Press that promotes the work of underrepresented authors. Founded in 2020, in Chicago, the mission of Barrio Blues Press is to elevate the voices of emerging writers and to help build a cooperative society. Visionaries for a better world are given a voice through the press. On her YouTube channel she talks about books on poetry and fiction, and activism. She’s frequenty joined by independent writers, artists, and activists from Chicago and the world.
