Ninfea Goiya

Ninfea Goiya

Ninfea Goiya is Jana but goes by Ninfea, which is the Italian word for waterlily – a name that was given to them when they were very young, and they are now a local fashion designer and mother in the Minneapolis, Minnesota area. They have been designing and making their own clothes and patterns since they were 11. It has been a passion and more than hobby of theirs to design and create unique fashions and clothes. Particularly designs of a more romantic past. Their favorites are Victorian, 18th Century French Rococo, Medieval, and Renaissance. They’ve been apart of the Gothic community since they were 12, so their designs are intertwined with Gothic and Historical aspects. They draw their inspirations from historical and modern styles as well as fantasy and SiFi genres. It’s a goal of theirs to have their own physical store and studio someday. They went to school for Apparel Technologies at MCTC here in Minneapolis and since then they have done 5 fashion shows, many photoshoots, and a small team of people that help with hair and make up and production design when they do shows. They work at home creating their designs and raising their little girl. They’re also connected to Pinterest, Ebay, Instagram and Facebook.
