Scott Bateman is a filmmaker who combines comedy and experimental film. Their 2018 feature film The Bateman Lectures on Depression has won several awards at film festivals nationwide, as did their 2015 feature film You, Your Brain, & You and their 2016 short 600 Space Aliens. Now, they’re expanding the basic idea from 600 Space Aliens (600 one-second video portraits in ten minutes) into a feature film (5,000 one-second video portraits in 85 minutes). They imagine this project will take at least three years to complete.
