Transitional Wisdom is the team behind the Transitional Wisdom Podcast. They are creating content BY trans* and queer people FOR trans* and queer people and those who love and support us. C (they/them) and Nash (he/him) struck up an unlikely bond after Nash joined C’s fitness program about a year into his transition. A few years later, Nash started up a podcast to get more educational content and resources out to the trans* community, and to offer a place for trans* people to tell their own stories. A few episodes in, he asked C to co-host. Their mission is to share the challenges and triumphs that trans* people experience, to share truthful information based on first hand accounts and to educate allies of the trans* community. They want to add that if you don’t have the means, would rather donate to a charity or are saving for transition related needs- THEY TOTALLY GET THAT. They are in no way wanting to infringe upon an already disadvantaged community, they know the struggles first hand. However, they have had people asking how they can further support. And that’s exactly why they are using Patreon to offer exclusive content as a way to help keep them going. They simply wanted to create an option for monetary support that also gave something back in the form of exclusive content, first access to all upcoming limited edition items, patreon-only giveaways, etc. This content and ability to ask questions can also be a helpful resource for the cishet people in your life to utilize as a way to learn and understand more about the trans* community.
